No, if anything the backlash against it will propel Bernie up in the polls.

Obviously because his comments were patently ridiculous and his conduct unpresidential.

MSM talking heads are the sort of people who were going to vote for Hilldog anyway. So not a whole lot.

Probably too early to tell just how much damage this has done, but this combined with the NYDN interview might prove fatal to his chances in New York.

If even pro Bernie MSNBC is condemning them then I'm sure there will be some kind of fallout, certainly doesn't help him that's for sure.

No, it's taking the spotlight off Trump and on him. It's bringing out the differences between him and Mrs. Clinton. Smiley

It only hurts him in the key demographic of 40-year old Greek online political forum posters.

It's obviously not going to hurt him amongst his hardcore committed passionate (some may say deluded) Berniebro supporters (see first response to this thread for evidence) who already think that Hillary is the devil incarnate (don't forget corporatist, neoliberal sketchy bitch etc etc) and vice versa help on the opposing side of the spectrum.

However long term Democrats who are leaning Sanders or still genuinely tossup may get put off by this behavior - it's such a petty and desperate response. And with New York being a closed primary, there may be a lot of such voters around.

On a personal note, even though I still respect the man, I'm pretty disappointed in him. I just hope it's more the influence of a hack like Devine or Weaver, rather than something that Bernie genuinely feels.

I mean if he gets this wound up to react this badly by a sensationalist misleading headline, god knows how he'll handle the deluge of bile that'll be thrown his way if he actually became the nominee or god forbid, even the president.

In New York, big time. Not sure about other states but we elected her three times (twice for Senate and over Obama for POTUS). Bernie already had a self-inflicted black eye here with his Daily News interview which revealed some incompetence or lack of planning on his part. This only insults the intelligence of New York voters who elected Clinton (a majority)

Math and demographics are not his friends.  Yes Bernie has just had a very nice run in states that he should have done very well in but after Wyoming on Saturday (another likely big caucus win) the road gets much much tougher.  He not only needs to win the big northeastern Hillary favoring states (unlikely) he needs to win them by 20+% (impossible). D-E-A-D.
