Please. Trump would destroy Sanders. Sanders has no debating ability, he repeats the same "millionaires and billionaires" nonsense over and over.

Trump would eat Sanders alive over stuff like saying climate change contributes to terrorism. Even if there's a shred of truth in that, your average voter is going to find that insane. Plus, the offensive stuff Sanders said about white people is on tape and would be played over and over again by the Trump campaign, which would make it impossible for him to hit Trump effectively on his demonizing entire groups of individuals.

He'd probably do better than Clinton again Trump, but a bit worse against Cruz. He'd be favored against either candidate, though.

I'm not sure. It seems pretty likely that Sanders would do well among young voters, even compared to Obama. He might be able to pull in some voters who have sat out recent elections. But (as a Democrat who would be rooting for Sanders in this scenario) I'd be very worried about how well Sanders does among moderates and conservatives (Democrats have gotten 15-20% of the conservative vote in the last three elections), older minorities and those making more than $50k/year. After years of seeing "socialist" thrown around as an insult, it would be interesting to see how America responds to a self-described socialist.

Doesn't matter. Sanders is a misogynist/racist for not quietly endorsing Clinton. He'd lose in a landslide; he's just a socialist Trump, and in an election between a generic socialist and a generic non-socialist, the non-loony leftist always wins.

Bernie has 58% against Trump in 2 different recent polls. Case closed.

If Sanders is the Democratic nominee, then our chance of victory increases.  That argument is not as effective now as it was a month ago because Trump has basically imploded, but rest assured that Clinton will somehow manage to make it pointlessly closer than it needs to be.

He could be the most iconic President since FDR & would be anti-Reagan bringing several swing states & even conservative states in the fold. Ofcourse he would destroy Cruz & Trump & would be the only DEM who will be defeating Kasich, Paul or a moderate GOP guy!

It would change the Dem party for years to come & would destroy the GOP! By far the most electable GE candidate the Dems could find!

National polls mean nothing right now. At this point in the 1976 election, Carter was beating Ford in the polls by 30 percent (!), and look at how close that ended up being.

Yeah, Trump is probably going to lose, but a lot can happen between now and November.

OK, I'm not saying he's completely inevitable, but Hillary hacks trying to claim Bernie will lose and Hillary win despite him doing much better in general election polls is ridiculous.

Hillary is not an electable candidate in the GE against any non-extremist candidate. She is looked as dishonest & has little to no support outside the Dem Base. So I don't get the deal of Hill-hacks talking about Bernie's elect-ability.

Hillary should pray that Trump is the candidate because he is doing badly in polls even against an extremist like Cruz.

Trump is disaster - poll or no poll - He can't win against anyone in the GE - He is beyond saving at this point!

He'd do the same as Hillary, presuming he gets the various factions behind him and there's no sabotage.

I know many that want Sanders and not Clinton (and won't vote for her).  The lopsided R victories make me laugh.

I will vote third party for the first time. I cannot support this DINO. He's a crook and a liar who has never done anything in thirty years in politics and wants to act like he's some sort of diety.
