Is it OK with watch Family Guy with a 5-year old?

I learned at a party some people I know do this with her daughter.

But I don't see the problem. They'll still get a kick out of some of the slapstick jokes and the talking dog and talking baby, and all the adult humor and references will go right over their head.

Yes, except for that stupid episode about Brian being an atheist.

(A very stupid episode since Brian has actually met Jesus Christ and seen Him perform miracles.)

It's not going to scar a 5 year old.  I don't care.

I do remember showing this scene and at the beginning she asked "What is he doing?" We all just laughed and didn't explain it.

To be honest, my five year old had seen parts of episodes, but I am uncomfortable with her watching it in general.

Would you let her watch Sneakers O'Toole?
