Yes.

So silly to attack him because of them.

Nah, he's too interested in the taste of power. He doesn't care where it comes from.

Depends on what you mean by "many". If you mean the small minority that treat him like a deity, then yes, but I'm sure Clinton would also be creeped out by some of her supporters.

But yes, I remember reading about someone wearing one of those Bernie face shirts and Bernie himself saying that it's weird.

Believe it or not, but any major candidate ends up with 'creepy' supporters. Sometimes they're misguided but enthusiastic folks who don't know how to argue in support of their candidate so end up saying cringe worthy things. Sometimes they are legit awful people who are supporting someone to spite their opponent. And sometimes its folks who need a personal savior and thus start worshipping their candidate of the cycle as a god. Four years later they'll have another supreme idol and will continue to be insufferable then. And the candidates, unless they are complete dunces, know that unfortunate people will support them and make the job of getting elected harder. Or I guess in the case of Trump, he seeks to cultivate them.

So it does annoy me to an extent to see folks constantly getting the vapors over the bad behavior of the few, that even other supports of the same candidate would like to see shut up and go away.

But I know why 'discussions' like this appear. Its a hit against the opposition. To discourage their not loopy supporters to feel guilty and give up. Its an annoying tactic and from what I've observed over a number of elections, doesn't really work. So as such, its effectively harassment at best, and at worst, makes coming together post convention harder as now those on the receiving end of the harassment are being called to shut up and support what we feel is the source of a lot of unpleasantness.

Not for the reason you think.

He doesn't mind that people are passionate about him.

but I imagine he must be surprised by how much they hate White people and love crazy ideas like reparations and open borders. It's the reason why he has not attempted to create a Bernie movement with other candidates, he doesn't want to have to defend what those candidates would inevitably stand for.

He's from Vermont. I'm sure he's used to seeing the nose ring crowd at his events.
