Mods are held to a higher standard in the content of their posts - and should be. They are agents of DAVE (and approved by DAVE as to their appointment, each and every one), and job one, is not to embarrass him.

Indeed. Moderators are for enforcing the rules, so they must be impeccable in following them, otherwise it would be just hypocritical, wouldn't it? Tender is not the first mod to be sacked or forced to resign for conduct unbecoming and that shows the system works.
