Penguins in 7 and Lightning in 7 for this round.  I don't know or care much about the west.

West is going to be crazy. I can't believe no Chicago LA or Anaheim is going any further. I'll be rooting for the Sharks out of the west and maybe the islanders out of the east? Tampa isn't bad either.

Man, I just can't root for the Penguins. Being a Blue Jackets fan, I cannot stand the Pens. And can the Sharks finish the damn series already? I honestly think the Lightning will win it. I mean, they have gone this far with out Stamkos, I just cannot see how they will play once he is back

I went with Lightning/Blues for this round, but Bishop going down might change everything.

Sharks in 6. Hopefully the Warriors take out OKC and then major TV sports will be dominated by the Bay Area for the the next two weeks.

I don't follow hockey nearly as closely as the NFL and NCAA football, but on paper I'd call the Sharks in 6 games. Pitt barely survived a Tampa team that did not have its goalie, and the Sharks seem to be bigger and stronger than Tampa, so I think if they can put the brakes on Pitt's speedy offense, they'll frustrate the Penguins and get enough of their own chances to win. But, that's on paper. Game's played on ice, and the Sharks have come up short many times before. The NHL and the bulk of the sports press would also love to see the Penguins win, so we'll see.

Sure, all the guys on your team are focusing on what tee time they can make for this week.  Mine have bigger plans.  Tongue

Pittsburgh in 6.

That was the first time in the Final that the Sharks have looked anything other than outclassed and outmatched. I am excited for Game 6, but I think spending the first two games being deers in the headlights might have cost us dearly.

I wish to hell I could watch all the celebrations on TV. Radio just doesn't carry it. Sad

Thanks dude. To be honest I'm a little surprised. If it was anyone but the Pens (or the Jackets, as if) i would've been rooting for the Sharks. Thorton and Pavelski among others so deserve their name on the Cup

We had some bad first-time jitters there, but we got over them down the stretch. Penguins were definitely the better team, but the Sharks did well and I'm looking forward to next year. That's a perennial refrain for Sharks fans, but now we have more reason to hope than we've had in a long time. First ever Western Conference pennant.
