House Speaker Paul Ryan wins the Republican presidential convention ballot, while Hillary Clinton is indicted, and Democrats turn to a moderate Democrat, former Indiana Senator Evan Bayh to appeal to independent voters. Who wins?

398: Bayh/Kirkpatrick(54.3%)
140: Ryan/Sandoval(44.4%)
Others: 1.2%

Bayh and Ryan cause controversy, but Bayh's and Ryan's variations on Arizona immigration law(Bayh: up to state; Ryan: up to federal government until immigration reform) makes it a narrow Bayh win.

I can never tell if you're serious with these maps.

Is the incumbent Speaker winning CO and NV or "a narrow Bayh win" which makes you doubt the seriousness?

Bayh winning SC, GA, WV, and MO. If this is what you seriously think would happen in an election between Ryan and Bayh then you're letting your boner for moderate heroes and pretty maps cloud common sense.

IMO, this isn't much different than if it was Boehner v. Bayh, 2012. If you honestly believe it's not a blowout, I'm not sure what could be. NV, CO, UT, and MT were jokes, as they are all very elastic states.
