This poll is for all registered voters and will run for three days.

It is generally expected that the Constitutional Convention will conclude its work in the next few weeks and send what will be the Fourth Constitution of Atlasia. This constitution contains the following:

Regional Consolidation (3 Regions)
Bicamerial Legislature
(6 Member Regionally selected Senate, 9 Member At-Large People's House)
A Federal and Regional Legislative Reset
A larger Court that integrates regional and Federal judicial bodies
Devolution of authority to Regions and a limited autonomy process

There are several other major changes taking place, but these seem like the biggest ones of note.

Not supporting the new Constitution would be a travesty.

Of course, it's impossible to argue it's not a step in the right direction.

Obviously YES (Mideast), and I frankly can't conceive of any rational argument against ratification. Not only is this document infinitely preferable to the byzantine disaster of a Constitution currently in place, it contains meaningful changes that have been the focus of reform movements for years (consolidation, bicameralism, and more recently devolution). As Yankee said in his retirement speech, Constitutional reform is no substitute for actually playing the game: it merely removes the roadblocks that have impeded progress on several fronts since before I can remember.

It would be ironic if the South and Mideast have the highest percentages of support considering 2013. Between the concentrations of Southern supporters and Labor's dominance in the Mideast, that is very possible.

I see no good reason not to support it.

So, does the constitution need to pass in every region to be ratified?

IT needs to pass in four.

I am pretty sure it will. It just might take some work in the Northeast and Midwest. KEep in mind thel ow participation from the latter. I would imagine a majority support it there.

Huh. I wonder, who honestly voted against it? (beyond the usual trolling in the polls we all do from time to time)

Radicals perhaps. Those disatisified with a provision or two.

There will be time to convince Northeasterners, as the vote will not occur immediately after the proposed constitutional amendment is sent to us.  There is a provision in the Northeast Constitution that only allows for Federal constitutional amendments to be voted on once a month, either with the regularly scheduled Northeast elections in even months or around the same time of the month in the odd months.  The date it is sent to us will determine whether that election will be in the same or next month.  I think that if the proposed amendment were sent to us right now, the vote wouldn't occur until the penultimate weekend of May.  I don't have discretion to hold an earlier vote.
