That's really not surprising. He really brings out the worst in people who have waited this long to scratch their itch.

Does this have any actual proof or is it just guessing?

Trump's toxicity and hatred for freedom is only fettered by his own bloated ego and incompetence.

Good on the school for taking action on it.

It's always been this way. Where did you all go to school?

Would this not be better placed under US General Discussion rather than the Presidential Election?  Those schoolchildren may be watching the campaign, but they won't be voting.

The children do learn about these things, and it has been widely reported that teachers are frustrated by it.  See, for example, this article.

An excerpt:
Trump's behavior transcends party politics. His hateful words have distinguished him as a topic for class discussion because our conversations are not about who should win the presidency, but how presidential candidates should comport themselves on the campaign trail. My students need to know that Trump's behavior is beyond historical precedent.

It's still information relevant to the election.

The information is not saying that "the behavior" was never present, and now is suddenly there.
It is saying that there has been a noticeable increase, and such a drastic change that teachers see it.

We shouldn't be surprised. Trump = Hatred.

Beyond historical precedent?

Some people have very short memories.

"historical precedent" meaning elections that elementary school students wouldn't remember but older people would. Like 2004-2012.

That's not really proof. It's a subjective sense of things from members of a group that tends to lean liberal.

*Colbert emoji* That's a laughable premise. History is not confined to the past dozen years.

Seriously. This doesn't even seem like a proper study. There is a very obvious bias in this study that a person is likely to start noticing the action because Trump is bombarded in their face in a negative light all day.

I don't doubt this is occurring, but I love how this article is two mentions of un-linked survey results surrounded by paragraphs of commentary.

The point, in this context, is that they should know that this isn't something that happens every election.

Al Jazeera and the SPLC.

It's like they want TRUMP to win.

Yes, but which of these T-shirts would those schoolchildren be wearing? And why?

And the reason trump is shown "in a negative light all day" is because of his own doing.
I mean, if you are going to act like an idiot (almost everyday), be prepared for the media to call you out on it.
