I'm very tired of the mailman story. I could bore everyone all day about my dad living in the slums of Bed-Stuy in an apartment with no windows, and of course no AC, so it was an oven in the summer, and the family had to sleep on the roof, and his working nights during high school because his Dad refused to work, to help feed the family, and he could not afford to go to college even with a full scholarship, because he had to continue to be the bread winner with his brother. Yeah, I would skip the part about the little detail that by the time I was born, he was very prosperous. Tongue

Very obnoxious, but what's even worse is all of the fanboys on here who buy his "I'm a reasonable, nice guy" schtick he uses to cover up the fact that he's a corporate shill

I don't think it's an act. I think he's just a huge dork.

How cool did you expect the Republican governor of Ohio to be?

But can you imagine yourself campaigning in New York City?

We should give Torie a break for talking about Hudson all the time. At least he's not coming up with a mailman story.

Everyone who knows Kasich finds his "aww shucks" presidential campaign to be completely not the person he actually is. He's kind of known as a temperamental menace and an ass, actually. It's obviously phony ploy.

Everything about Kasich is horrible. But at least it's one of the more entertaining things about him.

This is odd considering he worked for Lehman Brothers....

Perhaps he had some memory loss event and is like a 12 year old in a candy store for the first time again?

Obviously trying hard to warm up to the New Yorkers before the primary, definitely sounds a tad bit phony but oh well.

I'm surprised a staffer hasn't told him to cool down on that tone a bit, was doing the same thing on the CNN family interview last night.

He's trying to warm up to New Yorkers with a personality that is the opposite of New Yorkers. Brilliant!

Finance bros are kinda like doctors (see Ben Carson). They're rich but they're also surprisingly uncultured because they spend all their time working.

It may be an act, but it's also a basically harmless one. I would argue it's better to have Kasich trying to act and sound nice than having another Trump-lite clone.

"Opinion of Hillary's fake southern act?"
"Opinion of Hillary's desperate thirst for Hispanics and their abuela?"
"Opinion of Hillary's embarrassing attempt at the Ne Ne?"
"Opinion of Hillary's fake attempts at being relatable?"
"Opinion of Hillary's direct bullsh**t on no confidential virtual mail?"
"Opinion of Hillary's morbid millennial pandering?"
"Opinion of Hillary's ..... "

Close this poor desperate hitjob circlejerk of a thread down. John Kasich is a million and one times more connected with the reality of an average American than Hillary Rodham Clinton will ever be, don't get too butthurt now.

Yeah but if I can't make a long-winded passive aggressive swipe at Hillary then my life has no meaning.

As someone who has grown up around both of these constituents...I can say anecdotally that you're 100% wrong about that.

Your entire clan of hacks runs on making passive aggressive swipes about anyone who isn't hillary, homie.

He's the most folksy senior executive at the Lehman Brothers who destroyed the world economy.
