I always loved the TPP, but I hated what it did in its second iteration. I came real close to joining it in 2012, and if I had a good bit would be different but I would never have fit in. I always do best operating in the center of a party and I would have been isolated like Simfan unless I brought other conservatives with me and thus made it more like the RPP and less like a recreated Democratic Aliance. I guess that was Duke's plan for me at the beginning, but damn it I just hate changing parties.
I have only ever posted two registration posts in the thread. One for the RPP (December 2008) and one for the Imperial Bloc (March 2012 I think).
I knew as far back as December 2014, that he was destoying the TPP. Every decision made from December until July was wrong, the product of either being out of touch or driven by vendetta, or both. Still I never thought I would see the chairman of a two-dozen member party leave it for dead, taking half of its members with him. That was unfair to a lot of great people who lost their party. And yes, I did assist TPP Senate candidates in both August 2015 and October 2015 against radicalist opponents. It felt great to be on the same side of something again. TPP was kind of like the possessed characters in games who return to their normal selves before dying.
My opinion of the entire history of the TPP: Favorable
