WSJ reports Trump's official shortlist is Pence, Sessions, Gingrich, and Christie.

True or not... has Gingrich's contract at FNC been suspended?

CNN is now claiming the 2 finalists for Trump's VP are Pence and Gingrich.

When does the rally start? I can't imagine Trump would announce his VP tonight unless it was Pence.

Pence walked off the stage when Trump came up, so I doubt he's being announced as VP tonight.

Gingrich is seeming more and more likely to me. Trump presumably knew who his VP pick was when he revealed the Friday showcase event, which means he knew before the rally tonight. If he knew his VP pick was Pence, why not just announce Pence tonight in Indiana?

Rachel Maddow just said that we can expect Clinton's VP announcement to come the 3 days between the RNC and DNC. So, either the 22, 23, or 24 of July.

Especially with Pence's deadline.

Why would Rachel Maddow be announcing a VP?

Is anybody surprises that Mike Pence is being considered after he endorsed Cruz in the primary?  (For what it was worth.)

He did it without speaking negatively about Trump.

It's not uncommon for VP rollout plans to be advertised before an actual decision on the pick has been reached.  I don't think it's clear at all that Trump already knows who he's going to pick.

Their latest story says that Christie is still in it....and Trump says Sessions is in the mix as well:

There's an awful lot of bad blood between Christie and Jared Kushner, but insiders still seem rather bullish on his chances, which I think says a lot about Trump's opinion of Christie. I wouldn't count him out yet.

I guess maybe I was giving Trump a little too much credit for assuming he's picked his VP 3 days before a deadline.

Kushner, Ivanka and Don Jr meeting with Pence at his house today. That's still the way I'm leaning after abandoning my original guess of Sessions.

Well that can lean someone one of two ways, depending on whether it was a "please be the VP, we don't want to have to settle for Newt or Sessions" meeting, or a "looks like we're all prepared for your VP showcase on Friday" meeting. I guess I'm leaning back towards Pence now.

Clinton camp has asked Elizabeth Warren to deliver the prime-time address of the DNC on Monday (first day)

Probably as clear of a sign as ever that she won't be nominated as VP.

This isn't the keynote address right?

Also, Trump himself is apparently at Pence's house now as well.
