This issue seems to be a bit too close to Clinton's problems.

I think they're vetting him for SecDef more than VP

Clinton needs to pick Cory Booker. Tells Sanders that socialism isn't the answer, keeps up AA turnout, helps keep Hillary away from the D senate she can't be trusted with.

Honestly, that would just prove that Hillary's learned nothing from the primaries. Democrats tend to dislike people like Booker with Wall Street connections.

I am way more dismayed that Vilsack is under consideration. Literally anybody else is better than him.

I've been absolutely clear though that Franken is the best possible pick.

Alternately, she should focus on actually listening to her party so that she has a reasonable governing coalition in 2017.

Or, ya know, she could govern with all of the moderates in Congress that moderate independents seem to think exist.

Essentially, he canceled all of this because he falsely believed this was another ISIS attack. Turns out it wasn't; Manafort said he "emotionally reacted" to events; Pence is left waiting and no one has any idea of what is going on. Face it, Trump is emotionally unstable and totally unfit to be President.

lol, talk about a stretch. There was a horrible muslim terrorist attack in France. Again. Anybody with a heart and a brain will be bothered by it. I was bothered by it.

And he was upset that Pence was leaked before he got a chance to communicate with the rest of his short list. I'd be pissed too.

it was a french criminal, not some ISIS attack as he ran on the teevee to denounce - the tour de france continued on as normal today, why cancel an American VP announcement?

Your second point is probably true - but that's all on him and his inept campaign. But to use the attacks in France as a cover for delaying an announcement is awful. Just face it, he had reservations about Pence, wanted to pull out but couldn't save face.

When you screw up something like this it doesn't bode well for your ability to lead during the hard times

The only Democrats I'd be less happy with as VP would be Jim Webb and Lincoln Chafee.

Please. He wasn't french. It was a terrorist attack by a Tunisian. Who knows yet Isis involvement.

This story dominated the media, at of respect to the victims and the enormous bloodshed, Trump did the right thing by delaying the roll out. You can float your reservations conspiracy theory all you want...

Just own up to the fact that his campaign is a dumpster fire...no direction, no clarity...he announces his selection on twitter and then goes MIA for a day; schedules his first stop with the new VP in NEW JERSEY??? And it's not a conspiracy theory when multiple news outlets are reporting that he was on the phone past midnight trying to back out of this pick. Face it cactus, his campaign is a freaking joke.

No, it's not a dumpster fire. Just because you want to wish him away and dictate to others what they should think of him or float false stories about his actions and intentions doesn't mean we're going to listen to you.

Trump can very well win this election.

Bayh jumping into the Indiana Senate race plus Kander polling very close to Blunt in Missouri might give Hillary more flexibility to pick a senator from a state with a GOP gov

No. First, 4 seats are still far from guaranteed, and second, it's not just about winning the Senate this year, but about getting closer to a supermajority, and keeping the Senate in 2018 and 2020.

Based on Dem whining in Congress about poll numbers, I'm starting to think she should pick Brown and let Congress worry about its own success.

I like Hickenlooper. Would be a good pick.

Currently I'd be delighted with either Becerra, Kaine, Vilsack or Hickenlooper. All experienced and low risk (do not endanger senate seat).

I'm hoping for Warren, Franken, Klobuchar, Perez, or Becerra, in no particular order.

Clinton interviewed Castro, Hickenlooper, and Warren today:

Hickenlooper would be a poor choice. I'm still sort of hoping for Warren, while predicting it will likely be Kaine.

No idea why Franken isn't talked about more. Would be a strong, exciting pick.

Hickenlooper was on my list at the beginning, I don't think he'd be a bad choice by any means. But I think now, he's not the right option. Castro CANNOT HAPPEN.
