Many moons ago (2005), back in high school, when I was a gleefully obnoxious Republican-leaning "socially liberal fiscally conservative" Virginia teenager, my friend and I cheekily went around town during the Kaine vs Kilgore gubernatorial race strategically slapping campaign stickers on the back of random signs/walls.

It was the "Sportsmen for Kilgore" sticker right above the "Women for Kaine" sticker, implying that it was one single macho douche frat boy sticker that read "Sportsmen for Kilgore; Women for Kaine."  We thought we were so clever.

I presume that cancelling those fundraisers wouldn't be a problem if something more pressing comes up.

I don't think anyone knows yet, he could changes his plans very fast if need be

The idea of all the leaks and press being a head fake for Warren or someone else more exciting may be a possibility.

I think it's Kaine or Vilsack. A dark horse: Roemer.

I really, really think the Clinton campaign is playing the media and their thirstiness for ANY bit of gossip.

Extreamly doubtful, but you never know. It would be a huge surprise.

Probably not. However, the Clinton campaign has been using a lot of smoke and mirrors lately, which opens up the possibility that they're thinking of going with a dark horse and want to preserve the element of surprise.

He could do both as the the Massachusetts events are noon Friday and 5:30PM Saturday, while Hillary's Florida events are 6:30PM Friday and noon Saturday.  It would take some jet setting but the window is there.

But he'd miss the announcement in the event of a storm.  I could believe it if the MA fundraiser was after Hillary's FL appearance.

Clinton camp first indicated Friday and then Saturday.  They may have built in some flexibility in case of weather.

Tim Kaine should definitely not be the v.p. He supports deregulating banks, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, and was the DNC chairman when the party lost their U.S. House majority—over 60 seats—in the midterm elections of 2010.

Tom Vilsack is also on board for TPP—so the hell with him, too.

Hillary Clinton should pick a vice-presidential running mate like Elizabeth Warren—whether or not it is specifically the senior U.S. senator from Massachusetts—or, if she goes for the Wall Street corporate-type Democrat, she will set herself up to fail. She may manage to win the 2016 general election, yes, but she may also undo herself by 2020. (The nation has not yet elected four consecutive, two-term consecutive presidents.)

So people didn't want Warren because the VP doesn't set policy and she'd be better in the Senate.

But people also don't want Kaine because of his policies and he'd be worse in the Senate than as a powerless VP.

Ok.

I would also prefer Warren but I'm seeing a lot of conflicting messages when it comes to the selection.

Everybody likes Joe (Biden) but what exactly was his role/portfolio as VP vs what he did as Senator?

If I understand correctly, he essentially serves as the top foreign policy and legal advisor, besides being the President's loyal friend. His jobs as Chairman of the Judiciary and Foreign Relations Committee make him exceptionally qualified for such roles.

Ok.

I would personally love to see Warren as VP, but I'm also aware of the risks of such a pick.

Warren is risky. Hillary needs a dark horse pick. A safe, but dark horse pick. Tim Roemer. I hope she vetted him secretly. He's anti-NAFTA.

I'll be honest, I'm very confused, and I have no idea who it's really going to be. It won't be Tim Roemer, though.
