I think Trump should pick former Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson. She would be a decent choice. She would appeal to the grassroots conservatives and the GOP-E. (GOP establishment)

Dude. She's been out of office for over 15 years, and her last electoral race was to lose a primary to Rick "oops" Perry. She wouldn't have a shot at running statewide in Texas anymore.

3, not 15.

You're right. My bad.

Still, she's something of a has been for serious consideration.
And Gingrich isn't a has-been?  Hahahahaha.

Somewhat, though he has much much more national exposure from his time as speaker than Hutchinson ever did--though obviously much of it bad--and did reasonably well in the 2012 race for a guy that hadn't held office in over a dozen years.

But don't get me wrong: Gingrich would suck too. Just for very different reasons. Tongue

Kasich won't even endorse Trump. Why on Earth would he accept the VP spot? (Especially since it's still possible Kasich runs again in 2020.)

He will get the same result in 2020 that he got in 2016 if he continues his silly selfish non support of the 2016 GOP candidate for president.

Yeah, sadly, Kasich won't be TRUMP's running mate. Really sad, he would have been the best choice.

Maybe TRUMP now takes a second look at Marco (I don't call him little Marco anymore since he has been nice to TRUMP).

I thought Rubio was going to run for Governor or Congress again. Could be wrong, though.

I'll be blunt and say that the top three are Newt Gingrich, Chris Christie, and Rick Scott.

I disagree.  I think it's Newt Gingrich, Scott Brown, and Bob Corker.

I feel like you give Trump too much credit.

As ignorant about policy and as hate-filled as he is, I also think he's an incredibly savvy politician.  I guarantee you he won't pick someone like Sarah Palin.

Martinez is governor, so that won't happen.

Damn. He'd be a good pick otherwise.

That may well be true, but it was always a ridiculous idea that Kasich would ever play second fiddle to a man he hates so much. I greatly dislike Kasich, but I give him props for sticking to his damn principles.

Bob Dole wants the GOP to unite behind Trump, as well suggests Donald Trump select Newt Gingrich as the GOP  VP Nominee.

You're assuming Martinez is still an R and hasn't endorsed Clinton by August.  That's a big assumption ATM.

She may hate Trump, but she's no liberal. That ain't happening.

Hickenlooper has a new book out, and he’s calling his book tour an “anti-vice presidential bid”, because he spills all his dirty laundry.  But it hardly sounds like there’s anything disqualifying:

What kind of opening sentence is "x hasn't been asked to be VP" - like, would someone seriously go around telling the media if they've been asked to be a running mate? Seems really pointless to include.

Doesn't that actually mean he paid up to the mafia?
The movie was a money laundering operation, technically it's the highest-grossing film of all time because the mafia owned the pornographic movie theaters and would launder money through movie tickets to Deep Throat.

Likely Booker won't be picked for the same reason.

That's still less weird than taking your mother to see "Deep Throat."

Is there any actual information that suggests Webb might be Trump's running mate?
