Sherrod Brown's wife is cool with him taking the VP job, should he be picked for it:

Has there been any indication of Bernie vetting any potential VP-candidates? I feel like that would truly reveal whether he actually believes he can still win or whether he is just waiting for the whole voting process to conclude.

None, but he has such a small staff now, it's clear he'll end his campaign. The question is how and when he ends it.

Any guesses on dates for announcements? Kerry and Romney announced about 3 weeks before their respective conventions, but when there was no incumbent McCain and Obama announced just a few days before.

This cycle who knows.... Trump could announce tomorrow, or never announce bc whatevs

Apparently, Trump just gave an interview stating that his VP search is down to 4 or 5 politicians, including s of his past competitors and, significantly, including those who have not yet endorsed him!

He also said there were two military officials on the list who probably won't end up being picked. Kasich, Corker, Sessions, Flynn, McChrystal?

I am pretty sure Trump wants Kasich, and am as fervently hoping Kasich says NO!

So, is the TRUMP/KASICH dream team still a thing?

Warren intrigued by VP, but unsure the move would make sense for her.

Eric Trump quasi-ruled out Kasich recently on Fox, so I would be very surprised if he was picked.

If you watch the video, they’re saying that the short list is actually ~7 people, of whom two are military officials, so the 4-5 people is the number of politicians on the list, not the full short list.

The 4-5 politicians supposedly includes two people who he ran against, of whom one hasn’t endorsed him "yet" (who I’m assuming is Kasich….because who else would it be?  Bush?  Cruz?  Fiorina?  Graham?  none of those make sense).

So Trump's probably picking a politician, and of those 4-5 the two competitors are probably Christie and Kasich. The other 2-3 politicians definitely includes Sessions, and I'm guessing also Corker and a woman (probably Fallin). So that realistically in my mind narrows the list down to Sessions, Corker, Fallin, and Christie, with the most likely being Sessions.

Just listened to Kasich on Fox. Not only was he adamant that he would not be Trump's VP but clearly said that he would not endorse Trump, even at the Convention in Cleveland, and in response to whether he prefers Clinton or Trump said "those are not very good choices".

So, if Trump is looking to his competitors, it would have to be Rubio.

But the story said:

Rubio has endorsed him.  The ones who haven't are:

Bush
Cruz
Fiorina
Graham
Kasich
Pataki

I think it's Kasich, and Trump is simply hoping that Kasich comes around (even though I don't think he will...even if Kasich does manage to come around to endorsing Trump, I don't see him agreeing to be VP...but Trump probably doesn't accept that yet).

Oh, actually, to amend the above, I guess there's also Walker.  Walker endorsed Trump, but then walked back his endorsement after this Curiel business came up, and now says he's undecided.  Not sure if that would then count as "has so far refused to endorse him".

Complete wild care pick for trump as VP...

Yes shes inexperienced and new to congress but nothing Donald does would shock me. Just throwing this name out there as a long shot, very long shot, but wouldn't 100% rule it out due to her checking so many boxes that Trump may be looking for...
