Wonder if possible VP consideration is why Vilsack did not throw his hat into the ring for Iowa Senate. Would have been a strong challenger to Grassley (better than Judge, at least).

LOL Hickenlooper. What does he add to the ticket? Colorado is already in her bag. However, would a boring debate between him and Pence.

Is adding a few electoral votes really the most important criteria on choosing
a politician who could become President one day?

No, but I think Tim Kaine fits this category far better.

Provide one legitimate non-identity politics reason why Booker is less qualified than Castro.

Booker is a Wall Street puppet.

I don't support either being picked.

Booker is actually what the Sandernistas think Clinton is, and Castro is the ultimate empty suit.

Clinton going for a western strategy with Hickenlooper would definitely be a curveball

Stavridis would an interesting pick. I like the concept of generals, too sad that Flynn was not chosen.

Has Booker been as much a "Wall Street puppet" as Senator as he was as mayor? I feel like he's gone to the left as Senator.

A double female ticket might actually lose even MORE of the men's vote for Clinton.

Do you really think that there are any voters that are ok with one woman on the ticket, but for whom two is suddenly a dealbreaker?

I'd be down with Hickenlooper if it's not Warren. I wonder if some stoner Johnson voters would jump on board due to the ticket's proximity to Colorado. Though weed might be something the Clintom camp might not want to touch (though they have the perfect "will of the people" excuse).

ew Hickenlooper. I liked his work as Mayor of Denver, but he's been consistently disappointing as Colorado Governor.

Booker did vote against TPA, which you wouldn't expect from someone controlled by Wall Street. Yet the word that I've heard is that he and Clinton don't gel the best together.

A good dark horse VP choice would be former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson. He's Hispanic, but more qualified than Castro, Perez, and Becerra. He has good foreign policy experience and he governed a state. Plus, the Clintons should put the 2008 endorsement of Obama behind them.

that makes sense - Booker is a showboat and I don't think the Clintons like that.

Yeah, a little, but he's experienced. He could be ready to be president on Day One.

Remember how he was going around defending Bain Capitol for a while in 2012?

If Hillary had any doubts about Kaine being the right pick, the choice of Pence should wipe them away. He is moderate, a serious option to replace her, if need be, from a purple state and, unlike Trump and Pence, she gets along well with him. And, with Pence, he will actually look charismatic.

There are many possible VP candidates for Hillary, but there will be only one successful Kaine-didate. Smiley

I think that TRUMP and Pence get along on a personal basis. Pence may have different views (and I don't agree with him), but looks like he's a calm and less offensive guy. But I agree, Kaine would be a good pick for Hilldog and is a actually a lot more qualified than she is.

Trump and Pence get along so well that Trump was whining to his advisers if he could get out of the pick after "choosing" Pence, and then left the stage the moment after introducing Pence at his announcement. They're best bros. And no, Kaine is not more qualified to be President than Clinton.
