Trump just said on CNN that he's actually likely to consider a female or minority VP.

Well, Trump is clearly pandering.

I could see Trump picking Susan Collins, oddly enough.

Have a hard time seeing her run with him though.

That being said, a Zombie Ayn Rand/Rand Paul ticket would also hit the spot.

What spot are you trying to hit?

Gingrinch would be awesome.  That would six wives and plenty of adultery  between the two of them.

Probably the whole praise Saddam thing.  I bet Corker wishes he had one of those Fiorina trap door thingies to get out of there.

Whole Ivanka thing just sounds like a desperate attempt to have someone sane on the ticket.

Whoever says the name Trump the most times at the convention will get the VP slot.

Will he make them all sit on one side of a table while he sits on the other side and announces his choice?

But the current odds are still that it will be Tump-Pence.

Feed the birds, Tump-Pence a bag.

I'm of the opinion that the most important thing about a VP choice, aside from having some basic qualifications to be President if something awful happens, is the comfort level the President has with that person.  McCain-Palin (who wasn't even minimally qualified) was very awkward to watch as has Trump-Pence in their brief time together.  Kaine and Vilsack both seem to be in that comfort zone and the both seem to be workmen like types who can and will do the tasks asked of them.

LOL at the idea of a single voter thinking "Wow, I'm really going to vote for Hillary after she picked Tom Vilsack as VP!"

Does Iowa even care about him anymore?

Since he's the Sec of AG, sure.

I can't believe I'm begging Hillary to pick Kaine at this point.

He makes sense strategically, is ready, and Vilsack is extremely conservative, despite the fact that i don't like him (Kaine).

What's so conservative about Vilsack anyway?

Wants to cut social security/medicare, is weak on climate change.  He is very in favor of weed legalization, so he could potentially pull in some BernieBros.

Well, a VP's role really is to aid the POTUS is his/her agenda.  I'd expect if Vilsack was VP his focus would still be mainly on rural issues and given his personal history, substance abuse.

Kaine, Brown, and Warren are announced as speakers at the DNC.  Castro, Perez, and Vilsack are not.

Take that as you will.

I take it as Obama not permitting cabinet members to speak at the convention unless they are the VP candidate

Booker would be a good choice. He voluntarily lived in a housing project in the worst part of Newark when he was on the council, which is a good story to tell about commitment to public service.

Hopefully next he will "voluntarily live" with some middle-aged guy who got laid off or lost his entire pension in the aftermath of the 07-08 financial crisis.

Who?  The Leahman Brothers?

He could do both as the the Massachusetts events are noon Friday and 5:30PM Saturday, while Hillary's Florida events are 6:30PM Friday and noon Saturday.  It would take some jet setting but the window is there.

But he'd miss the announcement in the event of a storm.  I could believe it if the MA fundraiser was after Hillary's FL appearance.

Clinton camp first indicated Friday and then Saturday.  They may have built in some flexibility in case of weather.

Everybody likes Joe (Biden) but what exactly was his role/portfolio as VP vs what he did as Senator?

Kaine retorts those who criticized his bank stance:

“People are going to say whatever they want, but I’m strongly for the regulation of the financial industry,” Kaine said. “If you spend a lot of time over regulating credit unions and community banks, you are basically letting a lot of the big guys off easily.”

Kaine added: “It wasn’t credit unions that tanked the economy. It wasn’t local community banks that tanked the economy. Generally, it wasn’t regional banks that did things that tanked the economy.”

Think we've missed this, if I'm wrong and this was posted before, my apologies:

New York Post story "Elizabeth Warren gives up hope of being Clinton’s VP"

http://nypost.com/2016/07/22/elizabeth-warren-gives-up-hope-for-clintons-vp/

Because the Post has a great track record when it comes to this.  That Cheney-Gephardt debate in 2004 was really something.

I actually own a copy of that NY Post.  There may be worse newspapers somewhere in the world but not because of lack of effort on the part of the Post.

Also, Kaine's Wiki Article has been edited 87 times today,.

It's 3:02, where is the news?
