I think that Croker would be the second best pick that Trump could make after Kasich. People vote less for a ticket because of the positions the VP brings but rather because of the negative baggage of that person. Croker is a moderate who won't say anything stupid and he would bring foreign policy savvy to the ticket as well. He won't help carry Tennessee as it doesn't need any help. But he might push Georgia and NC to the GOP.
Kasich would probably be better as he would bring more experience and help carry Ohio.
