I'm leaning Sestak at the moment, but Toomey is a pretty good guy. I will have to see which way the wind is blowing in November.

Sestak. If McGinty gets nominated, I'll likely endorse Toomey.

Fetterman > Sestak > McGinty

Never Toomey.
Though I'll probably vote Sestak for real at the booth considering Fetterman has no chance.

Voted Fetterman, but I really wonder if he could actually win a statewide race. Does he have what it takes? Could he raise the necessary capital?

I don't know.  He has very effective commercials and he is an engaging speaker.  I didn't watch the debate the night before last but I've read the transcript and he was feisty.  Of course funding is an issue.  I don't know whether he has the connections.  He's the mayor of a rusted out rustbelt town that has one-tenth of the population that it had a century ago, and 35% of its residents live below the poverty line.  I think that makes him motivated and real, and people respect that, but it isn't likely the seat of a power player that has friends in high places.  The fact that he bears a striking resemblance to the stereotypical convicted felon, replete with tattooed forearms, shaved head, and artisan beard, probably isn't helping in that regard either.  Then again, he has a graduate degree from Harvard, which might give him some connections.  And that tattoo on his right forearm?  It's 15104, the zipcode of the economically blighted town which made him burgermeister.  (watch him give a tour of the crumbling infrastructure there.)  The permanently-written zipcode suggests deep loyalty, as do the numbers on his other arm, which are the dates of murders that occurred in his town.  People do admire the potential for loyalty.

Oh my god, I didn't know he was a Harvard grad. That's incredible! Honestly, I stereotyped him a bit based on his look and without looking into his background, I never would have guessed that. I must say, his current appearance really will not help him in a US Senate election.

Must say I like this guy even more now.

Me too.  I will say, although I disagree with Sestak's views, I like him as a person and I respect him a lot for his military service.

Yes, that whole three-star admiral thing will play well with the voters.

I'm leaning toward Sestak for the primaries as well.  I think real warriors are less likely to engage us in battle than armchair warriors, generally speaking, so the fact that he was a high-ranking military officer impresses me.

Toomey is okay too, at least personally, but he has been drinking too much of the majority leader's Kool Aid recently.  Also I'm pretty anti-incumbent at the moment so I'll probably vote for whichever candidate is nominated by the Democrats.

Toomey is a pretty good senator who has been able to balance conservatism and pragmatism well.

McGinty reminds me of Kay Hagan, so I should like her...but I don't like how the PA Dems have handled race and are using her as proxy against Sestak.

I'd vote Sestak.

I'm not sure. I think his appearance is so ... out there that it may end up being beneficial.

Sestak or Fetterman. I'd probably vote for Sestak because he's the one with a chance of winning the primary.

I'm unimpressed by McGinty, she has never won a tough race in her entire career. I don't know how you can say someone who came last with 8% of the vote in her only race is somehow the most electable candidate for Senate. Look at all of the other top-tier recruits in other Senate races; Duckworth, Murphy, Strickland, Cortez-Masto, Kander, Hassan all have held elected office and won tough races in their career.

She's never gotten double digits, let alone won a race.
