I couldn't resist hopping on the "Opinion of my state" bandwagon.

Awful, by far the worst of the New England states...although still somehow better than the Midwest.

Mixed. Used to be FF, but Boston has horribly yuppieized like every major American city. The unique of every American city seems to just be getting smothered by sterile corporate yuppie culture.

The last time I had the misfortune to be downtown in the mid-to-late evening, there were no restaurants open. There were no restaurants open because downtown Boston is the denizen of yuppies who commute from the suburbs and the whole city is set up to accommodate these people and their preferences. Eventually I had to settle for a hot soft pretzel and some really bad Chinese food from the kiosks inside South Station, and even that was about to close.

Of course, I realize that as someone who lives in Newton I'm part of the problem.

It's okay. I used to live in Cambridge, which makes me infinitely worse and emblematic of the problem.

My experience is that restaurants would be easy to find...but they'd always be nasty awful quasi-hip overly-fancy places.

The most annoying sports fans in America.  (not the worst sports fans in America though, that would be Atlanta or LA)  Horrible politics.  Mixed people.  HP

God, I need to get to my laptop to purge this board of all the flotsam. Indi Politics is where this belongs, though it should actually be deleted--too many of these threads.

All you have to do is look at the results of this year's MA GOP primary to know it's HP.
