Hillary lit a fire under Bernie.  Kidding they both did well.

Hillary was at the top of her game tonight. Best I've seen from her since the very first debate back in October. I think she won, but Bernie did well too. This was certainly no slaughter like the first debate and the Miami debate.

Clinton won the first half.
Sanders crushed in the second.

Clinton, simply because I don't think that this debate is going to change anything, and Clinton is heavily favored to win New York. So, it's a case of a draw going to the front-runner.

Even with this being the most aggressive debate on the Democratic side, still a million times more substantive than any Republican event.

Clinton supporters will say Clinton won because they don't focus on she stumbles and avoids the questions, Sanders supporters say Sanders won because they focus on Clinton's failures while avoiding Sanders' own inadequate responses. In this debate, the inadequacy of Sanders did not outweigh Clinton's faults, and thus I think Sanders won overall.

I think Sanders might have won the debate, but I doubt it moves the needle the amount he needs it to.

This. I'm sticking with my Clinton +8 prediction for New York.

We're talking about the NY primary where 15-20 % of the electorate on Tuesday is Jewish and Sanders harassed Clinton for not showing enough sympathy for Palestine. Yeah, Sanders fans, keep telling yourselves that Sanders won this debate.

Yeah, that wasn't very smart politically. It was like his Castro comments pre-FL.

Two things are going to kill Bernie in NY from this debate. His harassment of Clinton over not enough sympathy for Palestine and his stance on guns. Bernie was addressing the occupy wall street crowd and Hillary was addressing New Yorker's tonight. Big difference.

Sanders won the room, which is why it may seem like Clinton lost.

But it is beyond clear that there's one candidate in the race who's offering one-off platitudes and another who gets that the world doesn't work in yes-no binaries. I think her response on fracking was especially thoughtful and shows why it's important to leave ideological purity at the door and avoid judging winners and losers by how loud they shout.

Yeah, how dare he show sympathy for innocent civilians being murdered.

Hillary did quite well if she was running for the Likud nomination.

That wasn't the issue. He was harassing her for not showing enough. He screeches BUT YOU WENT TO AIPAC AND DIDN'T TALK ABOUT PALESTINE. Hey Bernie, you didn't go to AIPAC at all.

I'm from the NYC metro area. His comments were fine but when he harassed her for not showing enough sympathy everyone in the room gasped. We knew, "uh oh, this isn't going to play well in the NYC suburbs." And his laugh during the guns exchange was brutal. His non apology to the Sandy Hook families was even more brutal. Double whammy.
