How are the Gulf War and Korea totally unjustified. If you think the US should not have gotten involved in those wars you should rate it as unjustified as what I mean by totally unjustified is the US where the greater evil in that conflict.

How are the Gulf War and Korea totally unjustified.

The Korean war was in defense of a brutal proto-fascist regime simply to block the Soviet Union. That North Korea was also murderous does not vindicate the sort of leadership South Korea had at that time.

The Gulf War is an even easier case. In fact, I would argue it was even less justified than the 2003 Iraq War. The war was purely about protecting Saudi Arabia-feared to be Hussein's next target-for the sake of easy oil flow, whereas 2003 at least had the claim of WMD's. Saudi Arabia has a outright terrible human rights record (in any given year they are vastly worse than Saddam Hussein ever was in twenty-four) and should not be protected by any nation period. Worst of all, the war caused 9/11 and all the misery that followed. Looking back, the Gulf War was actually much worse long-term for the United States than Vietnam.

If you think the US should not have gotten involved in those wars you should rate it as unjustified as what I mean by totally unjustified is the US where the greater evil in that conflict.

How was the Mexican American war less justified then the Spanish one. In the Mexican american war the US goal is to annex parts of Mexico and make it part of the US and give those annexed terrorites state hood while the goal of the Spanish American war was to turn the annexed territories into colonies

As the Mexican war, we went in for no reason, but to a reason it was justified as it gave American statehood, it's was mixed on justification for me. For the Spanish-American war, was totally justified, we were fighting for the Cuban people against Spanish imperialism and for a Cuban republic.

All except the Civil War and World War II were unjustified, and both of those wars (including both theaters of the latter) were totally justified. The Mexican-American War and a couple others were more unjustified than the other unjustified wars.

Not sure how anyone can say Afghanistan wasn't justified, and I think the fact that World War I was totally unjustified AT THE ONSET (on the part of the European powers) is kind of affecting people's views of our reasons for entering, which I find very justified.

I'm not sure I would categorize all of these as wars as opposed to simple military intervention.

American Revolution: Justified  -Not sure I would've supported it at the time.  I think it could have been avoided if Britain had used the colonial legislatures to levy the taxes, or given the colonies representation in Parliament so they could have a say on them.  And the desire for a land grab from Native Americans was definitely not justified.
Quasi-War: Lean Justified -I can understand why a misunderstanding between two governments over debt could lead to conflict.
Barbary Wars: Totally Justified -Stopping outlaws from raiding, kidnapping, and enslaving American ships is always justified.
War of 1812: Lean Justified -Britain was the main aggressor by conscripting American sailors into their navy.
Indian Wars: Totally Unjustified -Wars of expansion are never justified, especially when it forces native peoples out.
Mexican War: Totally Unjustified -See comments on Indian Wars.
Civil War: Totally Justified -A war to end slavery and save a nation from almost certain collapse is always justified.
Spanish-American War: Totally Unjustified -It was driven primarily by imperialism and the sensationalism of the news media.  We don't even know that Spain was responsible for destroying the Maine.
Philippine-American War: Justified -See comments on Spanish-American War.  We should have just given the Philippines independence after conquering them.
World War I: Neither -What did Germany directly do to the US to provoke aggression?
World War II: Totally Justified -Stopping a genocidal tyrant from taking over the world seems pretty justified to me.  Ditto on Japan after they attacked Pearl Harbor.
Korean War: Neither -Probably justified at the time, but with hindsight, not so sure.  Given that they did nothing to threaten the US directly, and that the domino effect proved to be false, I have to vote Neutral.
Vietnam War: Neither -See comments on Korean War.
Invasion of Grenada: Neither -See comments on Korean War.
Invasion of Panama: Neither -Don't know what Noriega ever did to us, but he was still a tyrant.
Gulf War: Lean Unjustified -I don't know how an Iraqi takeover of Kuwait would have affected the US, or anyone else outside the Middle East, in any way.  And if Iraq had won, then Saddam could have easily retaliated.
Kosovo War: Neither -Again, don't know how it directly affected the US.
Afghanistan War: Justified -Rooting out terrorism, especially after 9/11 is justified to protect our security, but I don't know why the Taliban had to be singled out.
Iraq War: Unjustified -If the intelligence that the government received had been accurate, then I would say Lean Justified.
Invasion of Libya: Justified -If it prevented an Islamist takeover similar to Iran in 1979.  Otherwise, Unjustified.
ISIS: Justified -Again, rooting out a terrorist state that threatens the US is justified, although I would prefer that we and our allies relied more on Jordan.
