Will Republicans try to purge Trump backers if he is denied the nomination?

He doesn't have many office holder endorsements, but if I were some high ranking Republican figure, here'd be my proposal to handle the few who have:

1-Compile a list of all office holders that endorsed him and set up plans to find and fund a primary challenge when possible to every single one.
2-Compile a list of all staffers and close affiliates with these office holders, and add them to a blacklist that is a lifetime ban on working for any Republican office holder ever again.
3-Institute a lifetime ban on speaking at the RNC for every single office holder that has endorsed Trump.

Way too much effort to organize the whole thing. His support will eventually fizzle out on their own like all the fads of years gone by. Gadflies almost never look as appetizing a cycle later.
