Children's Schoolbag Weight Regulation Act1. It is hereby declared the policy of the Northeast region to safeguard the health and interests of the youth and, pursuant thereto, to protect them from conditions that could adversely affect their health or cause harmful effects to their bodies.
2. It is the objective of this Act to limit the weight of school bags carried by schoolchildren, both in the elementary and secondary levels, and to implement proactive measures that would prevent overloading of school bags with the end goal of protecting children from any harmful healthful effects resulting from carrying overloaded school bags.
