For me it's probably Ford, though i don't consider him a huge FF.

I think Bush I, Ford, Eisenhower, and Taft were all decent presidents, but the last FF for me was Teddy Roosevelt.

I'm curious about RINO Tom's answer.  He considers Polk an HP, but likes McKinley, even though they were pretty similar in many ways (both imperialist warmongers).  Of course, McKinley didn't belong to that racist Democratic Party! Tongue

Haha. Wink

To me at least, being "imperialist" for the sake of making the US a world power behind misguided notions of spreading Americanism as if it's a good thing is much better than looking for new territories for slavery to expand to.  Also, I don't like McKinley quite as much as I very much dislike Bryan.

Anyway, obvious answer is JFK, though I'm certainly influenced by his life being cut short.  Cleveland wasn't bad ... Maybe Van Buren??  LOL.  Obama isn't bad either, but his cult worship by some forum Dems bugs me.

Kennedy as a President.

Lincoln is, in fact, the only president I consider a clear FF.

Clinton as a President, Carter as a person, Truman as both. Obama seems like a decent person, too, but I'd never vote for him.

I'm deeply ambivalent about both.
