Guinta (R-NH) trails Carol Shea-Porter by 42 points and his primary challengers are largely unknown. Cheesy

If Guinta Ran for Re-Election in 2016, Would You...

...Definitely vote for Guinta: 4%
Consider voting for Guinta: 22%

Definitely vote for the other candidate: 46%

Too bad his name is not Francie Guinta. Anyway, a Carol Shea-Porter vs. Frank Guinta race would be safe D, period. Guinta will lose Blanche Lincoln style, most likely worse than that.

I mean, he is The Corrupt Frank Guinta after all. Bill Jefferson lost in a D+22 district due to corruption, so sadly this doesn't prove your theory about NH women. Tongue Of course, there is an exception if you live in that godforsaken place known as Staten Island...

Also, if this ends up being anywhere near the margin, it would make Blanche's loss look tame. We may need a new term: Guinta'd.

That's not an actual match-up.

I can't imagine Guinta will actually win the primary, but his opponents really are a bunch of nobodies now that Dan Innis is gone.

Crazy to think the GOP could lose this seat so easily...the Koch brothers shut off funding for Kelly Ayotte due to that environmental bill she supported too.

Guinta would have lost in a landslide even without this "scandal".

I know this is off-topic, but can anyone explain to me how Bill Jefferson managed to lose in freaking 2008 in a district that is roughly 62% Black?

Your "theories" are just as legitimate as the "theories" about economics potheads think up on 4/20.

Uh-oh.  This is about as ugly as it gets for an incumbent.  There's still nearly five months until the primary, enough time for the other Republicans to catch up.

Innis needs to un-withdraw.

Things like this are why Republicans should support repealing Citizens United just as much as Democrats do.

Let's just continue with this pattern of him and Carol Shea-Porter tag-teaming this seat every term.

State Rep. Pam Tucker drops her bid to take on Guinta, leaving only Republican businessman Rich Ashoo as the only challenger to the embattled congressman.

Lol, this race is safe D. The NH GOP is hilariously incompetent.

Theoretically bad for Guinta and therefore bad for the Democrats, but I'd say the Democrats are favored here no matter what.
