My political views havn't changed at all.

You are a far-left Green, but for some reason I still like you. Amazing what this forum can produce isn't it? Smiley
I seem to get a lot more respect from the conservatives around here than i do the left.

When I first came here I was a moderate Republican. But, this forum has made me see the light. Now I am a crazy fascist

J/K!!!!!!!

Came here a moderate Republican and became a little more moderate after posting here for awhile.

Haven't moved much economically, a little to the left socially. I would say my biggest change is that I have taken a more pragmatic outlook toward politics as a whole.

Left on social issues, right on economics, right on foreign policy.

I went from a populist-leaning far-leftist to a left-leaning, moderate libertarian.

Take back what you said. That's one of the worst insults you can give to a person. Tongue

Started out here as a leftist, having voted for Dennis Kucinich in the 2004 Democratic primary (when I was still in college).  Through 2005 I moderated, though I was still very much a liberal, having strongly promoted Sen. Russ Feingold for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination.  Later that year, I grew more conservative, particularly with regard to foreign policy, after the democratic revolutions that year in Ukraine, Lebanon, Georgia, as well as the first general election held in Iraq.

By early 2006, I was more of a communitarian Christian Democrat, and I started advocating that the Democratic Party become more of a Christian Democratic party along the lines of the party I once led in the Fantasy Elections board.  I slammed into a brick wall, and by mid to late 2006 I became so disgusted that I left the forum for a time.  I came back in late spring 2007.  By that point I had become conservative enough that a critical mass of Democrats here started to try to push me out of the party, a state of affairs that hasn't changed to this day...

I've abandoned the notion that I have any real political views of my own.

Lol. The old days.

I still visit old forums and see what I posted in those days.

I was most leftist in my early days here from June 2004 (when I joined) to June 2005. I than slowly yet steadily trended right since than. First on economics (it was more of a sudden surge of interest in economics and going on an emerging markets tour), secondly I shifted hard right on foreign policy sometime in Feb 2006 (correlated to some events in Iraq) and thirdly I slowly shifted from hard left on social issues to moderate left.

The camel's back didn't  break till 2007, which was the first time I called myself a Republican.

I went from far-right to center to right. No drastic change, really. It just occured in a short period, because I was unsure on some issues before coming on here.

Continued my trend towards the libertarian end of the spectrum that I started back in late 2006.

I remember when you came here. You had something like +5.4, +9.39.

Actually, no. It was +5.1, but I did come close at least.

Started far-right on economics and moderate on social issues. Since then I've become a center-right pragmatist on economics and far-left on social issues. On foreign policy, my views are moderate-lean liberal/libertarian, but really haven't changed.

I've just really come down to earth on both of them. My economic score is between -1 and +3, depending on whether or not I feel like checking stuff. My social score is between +3 and +7.

I think I've moved a little to the left on social issues and haven't really budged on economic issues, though I am more open to free trade (though not unrestricted... we should hold our trading partners to the same standards we hold ourselves to)

Not at all.  Pretty much was your typical New York liberal 5 years ago when I first started coming here and still am.
