The people made the wrong choice, and, to be honest, "the people" didn't make the choice, rather a small collection of internet-goers.

Also, the use of "Mc-" as a prefix for things is getting kind of annoying.  I doubt many people have any idea what it signifies, and just think it sounds cool.  It just sounds stupid to tack it on to any given word.
