If the base stays home, he loses. Simple as that. Why would the base come out to vote for someone who's out of step with their values?

Or are you going to be like Trump's campaign and assume that NY is now a tossup battleground state?
Can't imagine most of the base will stay home because of a silly ridiculous policy like that bathroom law (which will actually make the entire situation MUCH worse)

America is shifting toward being a post-Christian nation similar to how Canada and Western Europe have become.  It's a much slower shift due to a more devoted religious population, but the shift is pretty obvious.

Don't you think it's time the politicians start to conform to that reality?

This is one reason why I support TRUMP. He's elecatable for Democrats and I'm sure he will get a lot of crossovers.

Doubt it. He supports poverty wages, repealing Obamacare, and ending estate taxes.

Thee difference is that he was never an established Republican. He never had a real party. There was no way he was going to win the Democratic primary against Hillary. The Republican field of 17 looked a lot more open. So Trump played the conservative act until now, when he's just about a shoe-in for nomination. And now he can say what he really thinks.

Trump just disavowed the bathroom stance and supports North Carolina now.

This is why nobody will believe him even if he swears he will do anything that might strongly appeal to other potential constituents on the political spectrum.

I'm still waiting for him to disavow the changes to the party.
