I thought Kasich was delusional, Team Trump has gone way beyond the wildest of delusions Kasich ever had...

This is awesome. Trade Utah for the old industrial North, where Republicanism belongs!

Trump said "I think I'll win New York" on O'Reilly the other night.

I would agree with this in some hypothetical future, but in this kind of shift I expect the SE coast, bar SC, to become Democratic alongside AZ.

The Safe Republican States according to the McCain campaign:

They only lost 3 of them. Well and an electoral vote in Nebraska. And also they almost lost Montana.

I'd count out any state where the runner-up Democrat received more votes than Trump (i.e. Illinois and probably Connecticut too).

HERE COMES THE LANDSLIDE FOLKS:

----------------

On a more serious note, TRUMP is being stupid here. Hillary is safe in CT and IL. And for IL, if she was in danger of losing, I'm sure Obama could use his connections there to rig the election for her.

Last time I checked, Trump and Hillary have received about 1000000000x as much attacks and scrutiny as Kasich and Bernie.

I just don't know where to begin with this.

Alas, I think this is further proof of my conspiracy theory that Trump is really in this to get Hillary elected if he's really expecting to win these two blue states, I say more power to him. Let him waste his money and resources there while we invest in the real swing states and who knows, maybe then we can even talk about winning Georgia and Arizona. Man, I can't wait for the general election.

Whether it's "delusional" or not, isn't it a good thing to try and expand the map? Even if it is futile in the end?

Of course it's not delusional to try and expand the map, but it's delusional to invest resources in states you have no chance of flipping. What would people be thinking of the Democratic nominee if they said "We will win Alabama this November and are investing there already"?

Quixotic quests with next to zero odds of success, diverting resources from more promising targets, is not the way to maximize the chances for success. It's just dumb, or in this case, more probably just bluster.

It's all moot anyway, because it is hard to win enough targets, when over half the electorate (probably more like 55% minimum), hates Trump's guts, and will not vote for him under any conceivable circumstances, with many of those 55% making the Hobson's choice like myself of voting for Hillary.

Trump is down about 15 points in WISCONSIN.

He's probably down close to 30 in CT.

Being ignorant is one thing, lying directly to the american people is another.
