Was Cruz ever going to win?  The country has moved so far to the left in the last 10 or 15 years.  He has a base of support in the more religious areas, but when he lost on the SEC Super Tuesday of the Deep South in early March, and lost Arizona later in that month, it was over for him.  No amount of delegate maneuvering could save him.
