He used to be more left-leaning at least socially and I think referred to himself as a "Libertarian Democrat" around 2009/10 when I first knew him.

I think he doesn't really have much of an ideology and just likes to be contrarian for the sake of it honestly, though he does seem to vaguely be into the Alt-Right. Used to link me to Molbug videos and articles all the time.
