Love Grows Where my Rosemary Goes by Edison Lighthouse
I Live for the Sun by The Sunrays
Pipeline by The Chantays (I especially love the guitar on the bridge)
Wipe Out by The Surfaris
Venus by Shocking Blue
Black is Black by Los Bravos
Party Doll by Buddy Knox (I think he had several hits, but this is the only one that's remembered much now)
Hey, Baby by Bruce Channel
Hey Paula by Paul & Paula
Mickey by Toni Basil
It Never Rains in Southern California by Albert Hammond
Rock & Roll by Gary Glitter (Had a number of hits in the UK, but this is the only one he had in the States)
As you can see, a lot of surf rock bands back in the 60s were one-hit wonders. If I can think of any more to add to this list, I will include them in a future post.
Take On Me certainly comes to mind.
I think a-ha had another hit with "The Sun Always Shines on TV"
