Robert E. Lee was the greatest American general in history and deserves much more respect than he's given these days. Instead of whitewashing history into what makes people feel good, history should be preserved in a fair, even-handed way.
Dwight Eisenhower, George Washington, , Winfield Scott were the greatest. He wasnt even the best in that war the only reason he succeeded early in the war was because the Union Army had very incompetent generals,once he faced a good general Ulysses S Grant the confederacy got totally destroyed .
