imo the line should be drawn at self-awareness (great apes, dolphins, corvids, elephants, pigs)

There'll always be turkey bacon... as far as we know.

Not the same - not even close.  Anyway, I will always love my bacon and frankly, I don't like the precedent banning dog/cat meat might set.

Yes, 'baconnaise' counts as a bacon substitute.

Looking at this list and remembering that one time I tried vegetarian bacon.  Yuck! Sad   Even worse than vegetarian burgers, which is a pretty tough feat to accomplish IMO.
