Honestly, I don't think there is any logically consistent reason to ban it while allowing meat from other animals to be eaten.

It's not like we write laws to be logically consistent. That said, I'd be hesitant to ban it anyway.

imo the line should be drawn at self-awareness (great apes, dolphins, corvids, elephants, pigs)
