Sanders' campaign, unfortunately, has really turned out to be like a conglomeration of all the worst stereotypes of latte liberals (or latte socialists, in this case.) He talks about the how the poor are disenfranchised all the time, but his campaign has not been about registering poor people to vote or helping them get to the polls. The Clinton campaign has done vastly more of that. Instead, his campaign has been all pandering to rich white college students. He spends tons of money holding huge rallies which, obviously, actual poor people working three jobs can't afford to attend, spends a ton of money on tv ads which actual poor working people won't be at home sitting around on the couch to see, and his cutsey volunteer army isn't composed of -- and has no strategy to reach out to -- actual poor working people.

Although I'm a Clinton supporter and I probably would be one regardless of what campaign Sanders had run I really, from the bottom of my heart, would be extremely happy if his campaign had been about helping really poor, disenfranchised voters get to the polls and giving them a voice. Unfortunately, that's not what his campaign has been about and him saying this now is just a bunch of hot air.
