Colorado has been the tipping point state in the past two elections. Which states do you think could become tipping-point states in the future?

Over the next few cycles, hard to argue against PA, VA, or IA.

I could see Florida re-emerging as the tipping point state as the number of non-white voters increase and the number of conservative non-white voters (i.e. older Cubans) decrease.

Virginia 2016 barring a Democratic blowout, Minnesota (because it does not swing much) in a Democratic  blowout. In a 57-42 blowout, Minnesota might go 57-42 because that is about how I would expect Minnesota to go in a D blowout. In an R blowout -- it was the second-worst state for Nixon in 1972 and the worst state for Reagan in 1984.

I had a list of tipping-point states going back to the 1980s; as I recall Michigan was the tipping-point state in 1984.

In the likely event of a Trump nomination, I predict Colorado will become a lean D state with VA, FL and PA being the tipping point states. Iowa as well but it's not as big of an electoral prize and thus less likely to be the tipping point state. Wisconsin is another possibility looking about 10-15 years down the line.

I think, OH and IA will trend more Republican, and FL, CO, and VA will remain tipping point states for the next few cycles.  Expect PA and WI to trend more rightward and join the tipping point states soon, but probably not this year.
