Because nobody cares about Pataki anymore. The power brokers (the downstate machines and Paladino upstate) were all behind Trump.

Because George Pataki was a terrible governor of New York, one of the worst! He couldn't even be elected dog catcher if he ran again! He's just so easy to beat! Sad!!!
