Saw the politico update on my phone as well. Has been hinted he's going to announce his VP pick. Any thoughts?

Could just be a big endorsement, no?  Any chance that Pence will endorse him?

He's probably pulling a Palin and is just trolling the media for airtime to take away from them gushing over Trump's sweep last night. I wouldn't expect a Pence endorsement to be that major, because isn't he not that popular there? He almost lost to a nobody in 2012 and got a lot of backlash for that whole Indiana "religious freedom" scam.

Will it have something to do with his past activities in the Bay Area?

Please drop out?

I think Pence is going for Trump, they had that secret meeting.
Dan Coats hasn't endorsed yet, has he?
Could also be Rubio.

If he announces Fiorina as his VP he's a fool.  Halperin pointed out last night that more than anything else, the VP affects the race by acting as a test of judgment for the presidential candidate.  If you seem like you did your homework and picked a strong VP who can succeed you in office, then you're seen as passing the test, while if you fail (McCain, Kerry, Mondale, McGovern) voters start to question your judgment and punish you.  LBJ is the only VP candidate whose ever succeeded in flipping a state, and demographic appeal is minimal.  So if Cruz announces Fiorina as his VP, not only will voters seriously question whether he thinks she's ready to be president, but it's also pretty clear that he didn't take his time to vet her.  It also makes Cruz seem arrogant, as usual -- he picks his VP candidate the day after he's mathematically eliminated from winning?

A guy trailing behind, with odds of winning the nomination diminishing every day, announcing his running-mate?

Yeah, that would play well...

Can't see this being much. Announcing a VP pick is a fool's errand.

Maybe he'll be announcing the endorsement of Herbert Spinecki.

Trump might not actually want the duties associated with being president and figured that he would fade on his own.  But, now he's worried that he might actually win this thing.

According to sources, Cruz will be changing a major position.  He will no longer consider THE PRINCESS BRIDE his favorite film, but will now back HOOSIERS as the best.  He will then recite the Gene Hackman/Coach Dale inspirational pregame speech word for word

I agree, but I am not convinced that she is a particularly good choice. I have thought someone like Condoleezza Rice would be a better selection. She does have ties to the George W. administration, but I like alot about her as a nominee. She is highly intelligent and generally fairly moderate.

Completely agreed, I think she is a horrid choice for the primary and general whom fits Trump's narrative.

Fiorina is not a great choice.
