Why does someone who could only win in a contested convention after everyone get's drunk think he'd be allowed to pick his VP?

Odd, very odd. Other than California being her home state, what's the logic in this? Fiorina is a failed CEO, a failed Senate candidate and a failed presidential candidate.
She will bring nothing to the ticket.  She's not even popular in California, as far as I can tell.  They didn't elect her to the Senate.

This isn't about flipping California in November, but rather about flipping it in June.

Cause Fiorina's 5 voters will make all the difference in the CA primary.

I think its who he wants to be his Vice President and I think Carly understands that, I think if they get to the Convention, Ted will be fine if they swith it. This is about news coverage and momentum.

I doubt Fiorina will help that much in California either way.  Plus, because Cruz cannot win the nomination outright anymore, Drumpf will have some easy counterattacks to a Fiorina vice presidency.

Yeah, Fiorina is a horrible VP pick. Adds nothing to the ticket. I'd argue that Darryl Perry picked a better running mate.

Seals the crucial Atlas vote.

FOX News is covering this now.

At least we cannot say that this primary season has been uneventful.

Arnold Schwarzenegger wouldn't be a bad choice.

Cruz is obviously thinking correctly that Fiorina (who if you remember was the only person who got the better of Trump every single time) would help him keep Trump under 1,237. I actually think he is right there (she will raise so many issues - abortion flip flops, denigrating women, etc. - that Trump will flop in IN) and, in that respect it is a brilliant tactical move.

Unfortunately that ticket will NOT win the GE nor the nomination in Cleveland. But this does have the potential to stop Trump. We'll see.

For the first time in his life, Cruz may have taken one for the team - I am impressed!

Yes Ted, pick a candidate almost as unpopular as you and who is best known for laying off 30,000 workers at HP.

This is going to come off as desperate and further sink Lyin' Ted's campaign. God won't save him.

He can't he's foreign born.

He could still technically be VP.  He would just be ineligible to become president, and Ryan would get it instead, assuming he is still Speaker.

Come on guys, can't we all just let him pretend to be the nominee before Trump twists the knife? Pretty please? He wanted it so bad!

1. I can't believe she is back in the picture.

2. Ugliest ticket ever.

3. This won't help him at all.

4. Very surprised a Kasich partnership didn't translate into a Cruz-Kasich ticket.

5. I can't believe she is back in the picture. She might be smarter than Palin, but if Cruz gets the nomination, she has got to be the least qualified VP nominee ever.

Nope. Not how it works.

Cruz won't get the nomination. But if a Cruz-Fiorina ticket manages to stop Trump, we could see a Kasich-Cruz ticket emerge at the convention.

Can you imagine time traveling back to 2013 and telling people that there's a hardline conservative latino/woman ticket available to the GOP in 2016 and they choose Donald Trump instead?
