See, this is something that Hillbots and Berniebots can agree on! This speech was cringeworthy trash. Party unity is back!

You're right though. Once the candidates are nominated after the conventions, people will flock to their respective parties.

I don't consider myself a Democrat any more.

First line of Rand's announcement speech:

"I have a message!

A message that is loud and clear and does not mince words:

We have come to take our country back."

Ok. A lot of people who do identify as Democrats did vote for Sanders and will support Clinton in the fall.

I might as well go ahead and switch my avatar to yellow now, even though I plan on staying a Republican unless the party ends up defined by Trump-ism instead of fighting against redistribution and excessive regulation and for capitalism. This is not just a blunder by Cruz but the blunder of blunders.

The Fiorina selection is not that bad. It isn't necessarily the greatest selection of all time, but it is workable.

This is sad; Ted just said Carly was the next VPOTUS. Also, this playlist makes me feel like Cruz only thinks IN is some hick state.

Country music is the only good music
Sure, if you like music about beer, trucks, mama, or "country cuties" (I assume they're the fat blondes from Alabama who have three mixed children by 24?). I guess it's better than Hillary Clinton's $10K Katy Perry playlist.

Mixed?

I would also like to know what this means.

Unfortunately for Cruz, the NFL Draft is this weekend, so this alleged "Hail Mary" of his will be buried in the headlines.

Finally, the oasis in the middle of the football desert! It'll help me get away from politics for a few days.

Oh yeah, what better way to show all those laid-off Carrier workers in Indiana that you'll fight for "the working man" than by naming a woman who laid off tens of thousands at Hewlett-Packard as your running mate! Talk about tone-deaf!

You know what I'm talking about. Half the Klansmen in America have half black grandchildren living on the couch in their trailers. That isn't a dig on them, it's just a perspective on hypocritical white trash.

I don't really even count it as a "selection." This isn't a legitimate choice because he has no real authority to make a vice presidential pick at this juncture. It is not even remotely likely that he will be the nominee. It's just a total joke, and the whole thing makes both of them look like lightweights.

I think Ted is going to let Carly be the attack-dog while he can be the nice guy and try to regain a small portion of likability and support.

Dream contest.

Clinton/Warren vs. Trump/Christie vs. Cruz/Fiorina

I will love it if Cruz can mount an Independent campaign. He can still get on the ballot in most states. Or mount a write-in campaign.

Even Ted Cruz's home turf on reddit, r/conservative, is down on this pick.

She was terrible CEO of HP. I know, my family bought two HPs and they both had problems. And the customer service and customer support were horrendous.

She was also a terrible choice to run for Senate in 2010. They should have nominated Tom Campbell. She won't do crap to help the ticket in CA.

I used to have an HP laptop. The hinges broke after two years, then I got it repaired, and in 6 months they broke again. I was extremely gentle with it too. I'll personally blame Fiorina for this. Tongue
