Age That You First Got Drunk

I thought this would be interesting to poll.  Define "drunk" how you'd like, I trust people's scales won't vary that wildly.

My first sips of beer were when I was a little kid.  My dad would often let us have a sip or two of his beer.

The first time I drank a drink of my own was on my 16th birthday.. just one mixed drink (I think Vodka and Coke).

The first time I drank enough to get a buzz was graduation weekend when I was 17.  The rest is history.

19. I'd drank before that, but the first time I got trashed was the first day of my sophomore year of college, when my roommate and I downed an entire fifth together.

I guess I didn't even answer my own poll.  I think it was the summer going into my junior year of high school (making me 16) in one of our more redneck friend's (huge) backyards.  It was awesome, LOL.  Can't say I've looked back, as that's what my friends and I do every weekend.

So my friends started drinking quite a bit at 17/18. I just decided for some reason to wait. So I had my first drinks (not including wine or champagne for holidays) when I got to campus my freshman year. I probably didn't get DRUNK for a couple of months into my freshman year. I haven't looked back. I am proud that I got away with quite a bit of underage drinking without ever getting caught or ticketed. I have had my handful of moments in the past year when I regretted drinking so much on one occasion. I am certainly going to play it more chill for my birthday this year.

19, I was mostly straight edge in high school aside from smoking the odd cigarette and didn't start drinking until sometime around graduation. It wasn't until I was 19 though that I got legitimately falling down drunk almost to the point of alcohol poisoning.

Okay, there is something bizarrely unrepresentative about the people here when 40% haven't ever been drunk. I cannot literally name a single non-Mormon person I've ever met who hasn't been drunk before. Obviously, there's nothing wrong with that, but the aggregate numbers are really strange. Hell, 40% of people I meet are probably alcoholics.
