I hear a lot of talk from Trump supporters that Trump could win by flipping the Upper Midwest. Wisconsin usually votes more Republican than Michigan, but Trump's protectionism might appeal more in Michigan. (Even though his chances of taking either state are fairly slim)

Wisconsin, but he's more likely to lose Arizona than win Wisconsin.

I think the two are kind of even.

Trump has been pummeled for months in WI from the right, not sure how he recovers. People like Sykes won't be coming around to support him.

Both are equally improbable. Wisconsin if I had to guess.

Wisconsin. Michigan and Wisconsin are much alike politically except that Michigan  has more blacks.

On a side note, should I start a thread with "which state is Hillary Clinton likely to flip, Wyoming or Idaho?"

Trump is never going to win Wisconsin. He will probably flip Michigan. Hillary is hated there.

Hillary lost the white vote in Michigan by 20% to Sanders, that is huge. With the whole anti-trade & Trade deal working hugely in Michigan, Trump has a very good chance to win. He can take an anti-Snyder line too & criticize the establishment & get away with it - "Blame the politicians".

I think he will have a hard time retaining Arizona & in many Red states from Utah to Idaho, etc but Clinton will do so badly there that she is unlikely to flip it. NH is another NE state where Trump may beat Clinton.

Sadly Sanders would have definitely beaten Trump in Michigan, NH & probably Deep Red states like Utah, Idaho, etc. Trump matches well with Hillary.

The only Republican presidential candidate that can flip Wisconsin is one that ran 10 years ago or one that'll run 10 years from now.

I am sensing Donald Trump is going to get landslided by Hillary Clinton.

Democratic shift nationally and reflected in exit polls nationally to a point that over 40 states go in the direction of Democrat.

This Republican Party, at the presidential level, comes across like they have checked out.

Not a chance in hell. MN, NM, and NH going for Trump? No. The former two aren't even in play, and I highly doubt NH is.

You're actually buying into a prediction that has a Republican winning NH? LOL

Trump isn't winning MN, WI, MI, or NV, and there's no way in hell he'll even come close in NM. I can't see him winning CO or NH either. I won't say it's impossible for Trump to win, but I think he has a very narrow path to victory.

Wisconsin.  It was more favorable to Romney in 2012 and McCain in 2008 than Michigan was.  McCain lost WI by 14 points in 2008 while he lost MI by 17 points.  Romney lost WI by 7 points in 2012 while he lost MI by 9 points.

Why would anybody be surprised if Trump won Michigan?
Everybody knows that Michigan is anti free trade and we all know that Trump is the champion of the anti free trade cause.
