Mark Cuban's been removed from the last time we were thinking about this. Honestly, all of the top 6 would probably be a net positive. Carson doesn't add much against Clinton; just keep being a surrogate. Newt would help debates potentially. Icahn would be no effect. The others all negative.

I think Susana would be the best, but I really like Webb, Christie and Petraeus as attack dogs.

I wonder how Republicans would receive Trump picking Webb. It certainly would double down on white working class voters and potentially bring over a decent amount of disaffected Democrats, could be a good pick.

Marco would be a good pick but I doubt he would want that job.

Webb would actually be a scarily good match for Trump.

Webb would need a "change of heart" on abortion first.

He also voted for Obamacare and campaigned for Obama in 08/12.

Webb's already admitting that he may vote for Trump anyway. Might as well make this populism ride go full throttle.

If he is half as crafty as his supporters make him out to be, Jim Webb would be a very good pick for him.

If he picks Susana Martinez, it's over.  RIP America.  How could Hillary recover?

Yeah. A Trump campaign would not be about the positions anyway. His supporters are not very passionate about abortion or many of the other standard GOP wedge issues. Webb's military honors and his service under Reagan will make him a lot easier to swallow for GOP leaders than just any old Appalachian Democrat.
