Is Donald Trump actually a liberal Democrat?

Some have claimed he is based on past positions he has taken, and based on his financial contributions to various liberal Democratic candidates.

Please vote and discuss.

He's basically a Democrat, but certainly not a liberal Democrat.

No, he supported Democrats for a short period to spurn GWB in the 2000s. For the rest of his career most of his political donations have been to conservatives.

He's a right-wing moderate authoritarian fascist populist libertarian-leaning left-wing Republican.

When the professional right thinks you're a radical baby-killing gay-agenda socialist and the professional left thinks you're a radical sexist homophobe, you're probably doing something right.

No, he's just a lazy rich egotistical entertainer and reality star, who is still trying to figure out what to do with a schtick that was never supposed to last this long.

He's a Republican who donated to Democrats because he was against Dubya.. Notice how his political views did a complete 180 when he first started believing Obama was born in Kenya.

He was a Democrat when W's dad was in office. The Dems called him into congressional meetings as an expert witness to rip on Reagan's tax policies.

He does about the harm that one would expect  of a mole... but unlike the usual mole he seems to believe what he says.

No, he's a registered Republican.

His ideology matches the orthodox of neither party, by the way. He's sort of a "moderate" in that he's in between each party's orthodoxy, but due to his extreme populism, nationalism, authoritarianism, and the fact that he's all over the place in many ways--including taking several positions on a single issue in a matter of days--calling him a "moderate" doesn't do him justice at all.

Defensive nationalist with a populist agenda.

I dont think he really cares anymore about the red v blue argument.

But my only criticism of Trump. He talks too much.
