I still think it will be Trump-Carson.

One has the brains, the other brings neurological disorders into the realm of poiitics.

It would be about as eclectic as they come.  The self-proclaimed total DC outsider with, arguably, the biggest DC insider Smiley.

The one benefit it would have is to make Trump more palatable for a lot of more risk-averse voters.  In retrospect, since that is Trump's biggest weakness - yes, it is a strong ticket.

No ticket with Trump on it will work in a general election because Trump is toxic to a general election electorate

I agree with Pete. Boehner shores up many of the concerns folks have with Trump, so I think it's actually a strong ticket.

it'd be balanced, at least, given trump's flaccidity.

As someone who actually is undecided now against Trump and Cruz, its a long story but I would totally be turned off from Trump if he picked the other clementine called Boehner.

A guy that 70% of Americans dislike chooses a guy that recently ran an organ that had 11% approval rating before resigning?  I think it would be an understatement to say that ticket would be annihilated/

That sounds an awful lot like Cruz/Fiorina.

This could be a strong way to counter a potential Clinton/Warren ticket.

If HRC doubles down on the gender card, Trump could double down with his appeal to Orange-American voters
