Last poll conducted 11/15/2015 Showed McCrory at 46 to 42 in favorability, or a 14 percent drop. While Cooper is still not widely known, 10% more people showed a preference from those five months ago (was 30 to 15).

NC is a social conservative state, it's not New Hampshire.
While the transgender bill did hurt Mccrory, mostly because his strength was his crossover appeal with urban democrats basically ended because of that, he's not going to lose by 10 points. It's going to be close, I expect him to underperfom the republicans presidential candidate by 2 points.

It's definitely not going to be that lopsided, but I'm cautiously optimistic about this race.

McCrory severely misjudged the state here, but the legislature has him over a barrel on this. If he vetoed it, they would override and then the base would get all pissy about it.
