I showed up 5 times for my health class in college.  Day 1, Syllabus.  It had the days of the 4 tests on it.  I showed up those days.  Got a C in the class.  I didn't buy the US History text books, still passed the classes.  My HS GPS was just under 2.  My college GPA was worse.  It's never once prevented me from getting a job.
